SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Submissions and Review Process

Before Submission

Before you can submit your paper, you will need to create an account to login to the submission portal. You may do this by clicking the "Register Here" link here or in the submission portal. Once you have done this, you will be given access to submit your works to the Editor.

Inital Submission

When you submit your paper to the Editor, they will pre-screen your submission and decide who will be reviewing your paper. This decision is based upon the subject matter of your submission. For example, if your piece is written on the subject of Cybersecurity, the Editor will assign your paper to be reviewed by a review board member who is a specialist in that field. This is to ensure the best review possible and that the reviewer understands the topic of the work.

Post Submission

Once a reviewer has finished reviewing your paper you will either be sent revisions to revise your submission or it will be published. We will keep you informed of your paper's progress throughout this cycle.

Submission Guidelines

Submissions must adhere to the following guidelines: Since IJTISI adheres to a blind review process, authors must refrain from including any identifying information in the version of the paper submitted for review. However, the following information must be provided via the submission process, though not necessarily on the paper itself.

  • Author
  • Email
  • Corresponding Author(s)
  • Paper Title
  • See below for more details:
  1. Papers submitted for review (as a computer file) should include the paper's title at its beginning (first page), but should not identify the author(s). No other identifying information in the paper should disclose the identity of the author(s).
  2. Papers should not exceed twenty (20) pages, including all appendices. Most papers are ten (10) pages or less, using the font and margin settings specified in these submission guidelines.
  3. All text contained in the paper should be in Verdana type with the paper title in 18-point font and the body of the text in 10-point Verdana. Page margins are in inches: 1.2" top and bottom, 1.0" left and right margins. Text should appear in two columns that are 3.1 inches wide (each) with a gap of 0.3 inches between the columns. Paragraphs should be set to alignment justified and single-spaced.
  4. All pages are to be U.S. letter-size (8.5" x 11").
  5. Any tables or figures that exceed the width of the columns should be included in an appendix.
  6. Appendices may be formatted in any way the author(s) deem necessary, with the exception that all pages must adhere to the standard page margins on an 8.5" X 11" page as listed above. Any rotated pages in landscape orientation in the appendices should be rotated ninety (90) degrees to the left (commonly referred to as "counter-clockwise" or "anti-clockwise” rotation).
  7. References should be listed alphabetically at the end of the paper according to APA style guidelines. Parentheses should be used within the body of the paper to offset citations.
  8. All submissions must be provided in one single file (e.g., no multi-file submissions will be accepted). The file must be in one of the following file formats: Microsoft Word DOC or Microsoft Word DOCX. All figures that are contained within Microsoft Word files must allow the file to be easily converted to PDF format from within Word. Authors are advised to limit figures to either JPG or GIF format for this purpose when embedding the image within the document's pages.
